WHAT IS CONVOLUTION REVERB?
If you were to clap in your bedroom, it's going to sound different to if you were to clap in St Paul's Cathedral.
Convolution reverb has given music producers the privilege of owning some of the most sought after and exciting acoustic characteristics the world has to offer.
With nothing more than a recording of an impulse (clap) and its response to the location, convolution engines are able to decode this information and digitally simulate the reverberation of any chosen space. These files can then be stored on your computer for later use within your DAW.
WHY IS METASONICS DIFFERENT?
Metasonics is an underground development. Opposed to the traditional acoustics most producers desire, Meta makes use of buildings that have long been forgotten. Grainy, abstract reverbs that embody the rotting exterior of the structures themselves.
